Iโm feeling a bit baited here and even though Iโm pressed for time these days I just canโt pass this one up! ๐
I think the vast majority of โoldโ Catholic beliefs are in line with the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. I think the primary distinction between the โoldโ Catholics and Evangelicals is in Ecclesiology. Historically Roman Catholics have always been willing to do the wrong thing for the right reason. It is certainly more blessed to give than to receive. If you are Roman Catholic it is then acceptable to force others to give. If you are Evangelical itโs not.
I hope all is well and your new year is blessed. ๐
Hey, KC! You’re alive!! Been waiting for you to come up for air, my man; hope all is well.
I find that some of the most open and also the most intransigent contemporary dialogue partners to be RC.
KC,
Wasn’t baiting you in particular, but glad you took it.
Not entirely sure what you mean by doing the wrong thing for the right reason here, and if the giving thing is an example, then you’re going to have to include the Reformers–who sanctioned established churches–right in with the Roman church.
Hope this finds you and yours well.
